Batman, Bruce Wayne’s alter ego, was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. He first appeared in Detective Comics #27 in May 1939.
His storyline begins after witnessing the murder of his parents as a child.
Bruce Wayne swore an oath of revenge against criminals. Batman operates in the fictional Gotham City, using his intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and an intimidating persona.
Alfred Pennyworth is his butler, loyal friend, and confidant of Bruce Wayne and Batman.
